Description

Via Ferrata means iron road in Italian and is simply climbing routes that go on installations in steep and vertical terrain. Experienced guides take you safely and safely up steep mountain slopes and along narrow mountain ledges. The climbing route takes you all the way to the top of the mountain called little Røggjin.


New route that opened in the summer of 2021. This is a slightly longer and more demanding trip than the Original route. The route has a common start with the original route and eventually enters The South wall (Sørveggen). Suitable for you who have climbed via ferrata before or have other climbing experience. Parts of the route are slightly overhanging and one of the highlights is balance on the line in the middle of the route. The route is graded degree D / C.

If you want a guided tour on Sørveggen, you can in July sign up for the original route on the tour at 10.00. Then we go with 2 guides and we split up along the way. Guided tour of Sørveggen can also be done on request

Price: NOK 1050,- and includes guide and necessary climbing equipment.
Age / weight restrictions: Minimum 12 years, at least 145 cm tall and a minimum of 40 kg. Max 120 kg.

Duration: approx. 4 hours
Bring: good shoes / mountain shoes, clothes according to weather conditions / windproof / insulating, some snacks along the way (food / drinks are not included). Gloves (you can also buy this at the starting point, NOK 40. Hiking shoes can be hired on request. )

Parking and meeting along Holdeskarveien before entering Skarsnuten. Where Holdeskarveien goes along the downhill slope.
