Welcome to Bjørnerud Mountain Farm! Cheesemaking is the process of producing cheese. At Bjørnerud Mountain Farm, you can participate in cheesemaking just like they did in the old days. You will actively take part in the entire process, from separating the milk, extracting the curds (white cheese), cooking the whey, to the final product. You will get to taste the fresh white cheese and can take home some brown cheese.

Cheesemaking is a time-consuming process, especially the time between removing the white cheese and finishing the final product. During this period, there will be opportunities for various activities on the farm, such as archery and horseshoe throwing. We also have a swimming lake with a boat that you can use, and there are several beautiful hiking trails in the area. The total duration from start to finish is approximately six hours.

It is possible to purchase sour cream porridge during the day. Coffee, waffles, and juice are included.

Prices for 2023: Adults: NOK 500 Children under 15 years: NOK 200

Note: Minimum of 4 paying guests, maximum of 8 guests. Bookings can only be made a minimum of 2 days in advance, as cheesemaking requires some preparation.
