Fjellbeth - Modern family cabin at Mykingtoppen

Welcome to Fjellbeth, located at the top of Mykinghøgde / top cabin field, 20 km west of Nesbyen center. You are already at 980 masl, and can go straight out tothe ski slopes and trails. Easy hikes and varying beautiful terrain that suits everyone, summer and winter. Fantastic views to Såtenatten, Sange Mountain, Hallgrim Mountain, Åkrefjell and Hallingnatten.

Many nice fishing lakes and easy hiking destinations, for the little ones and other peaks and longer hiking destinations for those who want it. Trails and paths criss-cross.

The cabin is 134 sqm built in 2017/18 with stable and good telephone coverage, electricity and good water. It has four bedrooms, 2 bathrooms + one toilet, loft and living room / kitchen with access to a terrace, from where you have a beautiful view!

• Open solution living room pace with cozy sofa corner with TV, space for 6.
• Large dining table (8 chairs + 2 high chairs.) Plenty of space for games and gatherings.
• Nice kitchen with hob / stove, all necessary cups and tubs, kettle and fridge / freezer. 
• Fireplace, firewood is not included. (?)
• 2 bathrooms, both with toilet, shower. Washer and dryer.
• Loft with 2 bedrooms, living room and toilet.
• Large terrace, free of snow all winter with access to fire pit and outdoor furniture.
• Great views of Myking.
• TV, radio and wireless internet and electricity are included. 
• Child safety on all windows and gate at the top of the stairs. Child cot is dismantled under one of the beds.

The cottage has 11 (12) ordinary beds in 4 bedrooms:

1st floor.: 1 double bedroom

                   1 bedroom with family bunk (2 downstairs and 1 upstairs).

Loft:  1 bedroom with 1 double bed and 2 single beds (one bed a little short)

           1 bedroom with double bed

          (1 extra mattress / sofa in living room)

All beds have pillows and duvet, but no covers. Bed linen / towels can be rented or bring your own.

Remember to bring:

• Firewood.
• Charcoal.
• Consumables such as toilet paper, candles, matches, wood briquettes, shower gel, etc.
• Bed linen and towels, if you do not want to rent.

The Myking area 

is one of the oldest cabin areas in Hallingdal, and consists of a combination of old, as well as new cabins. Great views of Lake Mykingsjøen and surrounding mountains. Immediate access to an extensive trail and trail network. A charming Local food store is located in the middle of Myking and is a traditional convenience store with a country store feel. 

Winter time: From the cabin, all you have to do to walk for miles along the trail network is to strap on your cross-country skis. The trail network in Nesbyen has many alternatives, so before you take the trip out on the trails, it may be worthwhile to go to skisporet.no to plan the trip. How about Hallingdalsløypa, formerly known as Eventyrløypa, for miles of prepped trails from Geilo and all the way to the cabin. Or find your own favorite among one of the other trails in the area.

Summer time:

Nes Nordmark has several good fishing lakes, including Mykingsjøen, Grønhovdtjern, Olfisken and Holmevatn. There are also several small lakes that are known for good trout fishing. In the areas around Myking you will also find many trails and several old dirt roads that are nice to both walk and bike on. Nesbyen is ranked by many as one of the best bike destinations, particularly among those with a taste for challenging trail riding.
