Welcome to Solbu, a cozy and traditional log cabin with all modern amenities! Originally built in 1960, the cabin was expanded and modernized in 1983. It is perfect for families and offers an authentic mountain experience in beautiful surroundings.

Location

Grønhovd is an idyllic mountain farm and cabin area located about 3 km west of Myking, at an altitude of 950 meters. The area is surrounded by gently rolling mountain terrain with several peaks offering excellent hiking opportunities both in summer and winter. Popular hiking destinations such as Dyna (1212 m), Såtenatten, and Skurvenatten are within easy reach.

In winter, the main ski trail passes right by the cabin, providing access to miles of well-groomed cross-country trails in Nesbyen. In summer, the wide mountain roads are perfect for cycling and hiking through breathtaking nature.

The Cabin

• Size: 80 m²

• Bedrooms: 2

• Sleeps: 6

• Heating: Electric heating, wood stove in the living room, and a fireplace for extra cozy evenings

• Bathroom: Small but functional, with a sink, toilet, and shower

• Kitchen: Well-equipped with a stove, coffee maker, and fridge with freezer compartment

• Living Room: Spacious with comfortable furniture, fireplace, and TV

• Grill Hut: Seats 10-16 people and can be used by arrangement

Sleeping arrangements:

• Bedroom 1: 2 separate beds

• Bedroom 2: 2 bunk beds (4 sleeping places)

Summer

• Fishing: Nes Nordmark has several excellent fishing lakes, including Mykingsjøen, Grønhovdtjern, Olfisken, and Holmevatn.

• Alpine Skiing: Nesfjellet Alpinsenter, featuring 5 lifts, 14 slopes, and a terrain park, is just 20 minutes away.

• Ski Rental: Available at Nystølkroken Kafé.
