Volebu - sunny and child friendly family cabin

Cozy and well equipped cabin for 8 people. Located 900 meters above sea level, on peaceful Volelien, near Myking.

The cabin is located in a sunny position and overlooks Nesfjellet Alpinsenter, Åkrefjell, Trommenatten and the beautiful Jørundfjella in Tunhovd. Great hiking areas towards the mountains Dyna and Såtenatten, both summer and winter.

The cabin is approx. 70 m2 and has 8 beds, divided into 3 bedrooms (2 family bunks + 1 double bed).

The Myking area 

is one of the oldest cabin areas in Hallingdal, and consists of a combination of old, as well as new cabins. Great views of Lake Mykingsjøen and surrounding mountains. Immediate access to an extensive trail and trail network. A charming local food store is located in the middle of Myking and is a traditional convenience store with a country store feel. 

Summer time:

Nes Nordmark has several good fishing lakes, including Mykingsjøen, Grønhovdtjern, Olfisken and Holmevatn. There are also several small lakes that are known for good trout fishing. In the areas around Myking you will also find many trails and several old dirt roads that are nice to both walk and bike on. Nesbyen is ranked by many as one of the best bike destinations, particularly among those with a taste for challenging trail riding.

Winter time: From the cabin, all you have to do to walk for miles along the trail network is to strap on your cross-country skis. The trail network in Nesbyen has many alternatives, so before you take the trip out on the trails, it may be worthwhile to go to skisporet.no to plan the trip. How about Hallingdalsløypa, formerly known as Eventyrløypa, for miles of prepped trails from Geilo and all the way to the cabin. Or find your own favorite among one of the other trails in the area.
