Peaceful mountain cabin

Cancellation policy: Moderate - Cancellation up to 30 days before arrival, minus a 5% service fee.

Electricity: Electricity is included in the price for up to NOK 300 per day. Power consumption in excess of NOK 300 per day will be post-invoiced.

Regarding animals: Well-behaved dog allowed, but not a puppy.

Enjoy this brand-new cabin built in 2023 with all amenities, perfect for 5-6 people. The cabin is situated midway between Nesbyen and Flå, just a 2-hour and 15-minute drive from Oslo. Surrounded by beautiful nature, with only 2-3 cabins in the vicinity, you are guaranteed to find peace and tranquility if that is what you are looking for. Right by the cabin, there are machine-groomed cross-country ski trails. Haglebu ski resort is only 10 minutes away by car, with the pleasant Haglebu Fjellstue nearby where it is possible to enjoy a nice meal or just a snack. There are plenty of activities to enjoy both in summer and winter.

The 80 sqm cabin has electricity and running water. It has 2 floors, 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and in addition, a separate toilet with sink. Open kitchen/living room layout.

• The living room has a sofa group with seating for 5-6 people.

• The dining area comfortably accommodates 6 people around the table.

• Practical and modern kitchen equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay.

• Loft with TV and sofa (can be used as a sofa bed).

• WIFI connection

• Fireplace (firewood is included)

• One bathroom with shower, toilet, sink and a washing machine. Additionally, there is a separate toilet with a sink.

• Indoor storage for hanging outdoor clothes and drying shoes and mittens.

• Outdoor storage for skis and other equipment.

• Terrace with a sofa group that can be used in the summer.

• Electricity consumption exceeding 300 NOK per day will be invoiced separately.

• All sleeping places have pillows and duvets.

• Guests must bring own bed linen/towels.

Sleeping arrangements:

The cabin has 6 regular sleeping places divided in 3 bedrooms.

1st floor: Bedroom 1: A single bed that can be converted into a double bed (160*200).

1st floor: Bedroom 2: Bunk bed with 2 sleeping places, one upper and one lower (90*200 each).

1st floor: Bedroom 3: Master bedroom with a double bed (180*200).

2nd floor: Open loft with a sofa bed (145*200).

Bed linen
Towels
Consumables such as toilet paper, paper towels, hand and shower soap, washing powder etc.

Summer:

The area invites many activities in summer and fall: mountain hikes, fishing trips, golf, horseback riding, cycling, hunting, paddling (rental of canoe/boat at Haglebuvannet), climbing park/zipline, Bjørneparken in Flå, and Langedrag Naturpark. Nesbyen is also rated by many as one of Norway's best cycling destinations, especially for those who enjoy challenging mountain biking trails.

Winter:

From the cabin, you can easily put on your cross-country skis and explore the machine-groomed trail network. Make sure to check skisporet.no to plan your trip. Haglebu ski resort is just a 10-minute drive away, while the lager alpine resort Norefjell is approximately 40 minutes away. Both offering ski rental.

Other Information:

There is a small shop at Haglebuvannet (10 minutes from the cabin). The nearest gas station is in Bromma, approximately 10 minutes from the cabin. If you want a shopping trip, both Nesbyen Kjøpesenter (20 min.) and Bjørneparken Kjøpesenter (25 min.) are easily accessible by car. The nearest bus stop is in Bromma, 10 minutes from the cabin.

We stayed in this beautiful cabin in Feb 2023 during the school holidays. Arriving from Ireland this stunning cabin surrounded by snow and pine forests, was just magical for us. The cabin  itself is gorgeous, really well finished, really warm, beautiful floor to ceiling windows everywhere with awesome views of the surrounding vista.  Thanks to the host and owner Anne who made us so welcome and organised everything perfectly for our arrival !
