Payment - Online Booking

Activities bought online are non-refundable and are applicable only for the date ordered. We disclaim responsibility for any misprints and changes in prices online due to technical difficulties.

Time and place for event

We recommend that, as far as possible, you meet up on time so that no time will be spent waiting for participants. Via Ferrata and The High Rope Park have Base Camp as the meeting place. Bicycle tours have a different meeting place. If you are late or don't show up, there might not be time to stop the activity to find equipment and go through the security routines. This does not entitle you to a refund on any pre-payment.

Road description to Base Camp

Park your car in the parking lot of Scandic Havna Hotel, adress: Havnaveien 50, 3145 Tjøme. Walk to the hotels beach. There is a fork in the road by the beach, take the left road. Keep walking straight ahead until you reach Base Camp. Unfortunately there s no possibility to drive all the way in to Base Camp. It takes approximately 12-15 min to walk from the parking lot. Call (+47)97 14 25 12 if you're having trouble finding Base Camp.

Equipment

Aktiv Fritid – ut på tur, will supply all the equipment needed for the activities. Participants who adjust or take off the equipment, must ensure that an instructor check the equipment is properly fastened. Participants are responsible for delivering the equipment in its complete and proper state at the end of the activity /event. If any participants have to leave early, please inform the instructor upon arrival so that delivery of equipment can be agreed upon before the start of the activity.

Clothing

To ensure that the guests will get the most enjoyment out of their activities, we recommend they wear normal outdoor activity clothing + rain clothes (if needed) and shoes that fit well on your feet. Girls, we recomend you ring an elastic band to put your hair away. It might be a good idea to bring a flashlight for the return trip. We recommend packing some extra clothes, camera, a lunch bag or a bar of chocolate and something to drink in a backpack for bike tours we recommend packing in a net. There is not running water at Base Camp. Any backpacks can be left inside Gamma at Base Camp, which will be locked during the activities.

Via Ferrata

We want you to have the best possible experience with this climb. We will provide the necessary instruction in rappelling and use of the safety equipment. If you ate any point of the climb find yourself feeling insecure, please contact the instructor so that we can double check the equipment. You'll have the option of not participating in the airiest rappelling and most challenging climbs. Shorts/pants worn should at least cover the knee. Shoes must have hard soles, such as mountain boots. Children under 14 years may, upon agreement, take part in this activity while accompanied by an adult thru the whole climb.

Rent a bike

If transported by car, the car must have a bikerack.

The bicycle shall be returned cleaned in the same condition as when it was first rented.

All parts and accessories must be intact. Lost equipment or equipment that has been damaged must be replaced.

Other damage – Amount is determined according to the extent of the damage.

Liability / Insurance / Health

The High Rope Park and Via Ferrata climbing activities are not recommended for participants over 120kg or participants with heart-/lung-/back-/neck problems or who are pregnant . Our High Rope Park is yearly controlled by Statens Jernbane tilsyn. Aktiv Fritid - ut på tur, has liability insurance with IF insurance company which cover liability of damages caused as a result of our operations. Participants can be financially liable for loss of or damage to the equipment as a result of negligence on the part of the participants.

Alcohole and activities

For security reasons we are not service alcohol before or during the activity. We have a license for serving alcohol outside and inside of Gamma at Base Camp, so there is possible to have alcohol served after the activity. This must be pre-arranged as we do not keep beverages onsite. It is not allowed to bring your own alcoholic beverages to any of our activities/events.

Force Majeure

Occurrences outside the control of Aktiv Fritid – ut på tur, such as fire, greater theft, natural disasters, etc. gives Aktiv Fritid – ut på tur, the right to cancel the deal without liability. We reserve the right to change the time or cancel the activity/event due to weather or other conditions that suggests that it would be irresponsible to carry out the activity/event. If the event must be canceled we will refund your money.
