For product purchased through Ravnfloget Base Camp Vega AS, hereafter "BCV / Base Camp Vega".

 

Online Booking – Terms and Conditions

Customers responsibility

  • Before making a final reservation, you should read and familiarize yourself with important information/rules about the product. Customers are responsible for the order is according to your own choices.
  • Customers are responsible for making sure that the information in the confirmation is in accordance with your order.
  • Base Camp Vega takes no responsibility for orders that due to technical difficulties have not reached Base Camp Vega.

Payment and cancellation - Online Booking

  • As a customer you must ensure that you can be reached at the email address provided upon registration.
  • As a customer you are responsible for taking care of your email confirmation and keeping this in print or electronic when arriving Base Camp Vega.
  • In case of cancellation of the activity up to 6 weeks before the arrival date, NOK 500 is paid in cancellation fee, the rest of the booking price is refunded.
  • If the booking is cancelled between 6 and 4 weeks before the arrival date, we refund 50% of the booking price.
  • Cancellation of the booking later than 4 weeks before the arrival date results in no refund (request to use private cancellation insurance).
  • It Is mainly not possible to change or move ordered Climb to another day, but BCV can be helpful with changes if possible.
  • However, if you cannot participate, it is possible to assign the trip to another participant.
  • We disclaim responsibility to misprints and that prices on the Internet may contain errors due to technical reasons.

Time and place of the event

Equipment

Base Camp Vega will supply all the climbing equipment needed for the activity. For guests taking off or adjusting equipment on the road, must ensure that an instructor check that the equipment is still properly fastened. The participant is responsible for returning the equipment in proper and complete state at the end of the event. If someone has to leave early, please inform upon arrival, so we can agree how to return the equipment.

Clothing – dress for the weather

For each guest to receive the best possible enjoyment from the activities, we recommend that you have normal outdoor activity clothing, rainwear ig needed and good shoes with stiff sole. Girls should carry hair tie to keep the hair away. Feel free to have a backpack with extra clothes, camera, food or chocolate and beverages. There is not possible to fill up bottles with water on the meeting point.

Safety Via Ferrata

Bring a small backpack and plenty of drinks. We will give you the necessary training to use the safety equipment. If you at any time feel unsure of the connection etc., you must contact the guide for control check. Shorts/trousers should cover your knees. Shoes with stiff sole or hiking boots are easier to use than running shoes with soft sole. Children are allowed when they have exceeded 140 cm. Liability/Insurance/Health

The Climb in Ravnfloget Via Ferrata is not recommended for people over 120 kg or people with heart/lung/back/neck problems or pregnant women. Participants climb on their own responsibilities and have to provide their own assurances. Participants may be made financially liable for any loss or damage to equipment caused by negligent or intentional conduct.

Alcohol and climbing activity do not belong together

For safety reasons, alcohol is strictly forbidden before and during all activities. It is not allowed to bring your own alcoholic beverage.

Sickness and interruptions

As a customer you are responsible for relevant insurance that covers ordering and travel/accommodation (Travel and recreational insurance incl. cancellation insurance and travel liability insurance). If a participant has to cancel a tour, the organizer is not responsible for any additional costs that result from the interrupt. Nor are the participants entitled to a refund of all or part of the tour cost.

Trip Cancellation

Base Camp Vega may cancel a tour due to force majeure, difficult or risky weather conditions, lack of guide or any other circumstance that lies beyond our control. By cancellation, Base Camp Vega is obliged to inform the participants as soon as possible. If an event is cancelled due to the reasons mentioned, participants will be offered a new climb. If this is not possible, the entire amount paid will be paid back to the customer. Beyond this, participants are not entitled to compensation.

 

Terms and conditions for accommodation bookings

Responsibilities of the purchaser

  • Before placing a final order, you should read and familiarize yourself with important information / rules about the product.
  • The purchaser is responsible for ensuring that the purchase is in accordance with his own wishes.
  • The client is responsible for ensuring that the details in the confirmation are in accordance with the booking.
  • BCV takes no responsibility for orders that have not been arrived at BCV due to technical problems.

Payment - Online Booking

  • All payment must be made in advance of the stay.
  • The orderer must ensure that you are reached at the e-mail address you provide when registering.
  • The agreement is binding between the parties when the tenant has received a confirmation of the booking and the stay has been paid.
  • The booker is responsible for taking care of the confirmation email and having this included in printed or electronic form when attending BCV.

Change/Cancellation

  • If the stay is cancelled up to 6 weeks before the arrival date, NOK 500 is payable cancellation fee, the rest of the booking price will be refunded.
  • If the booking is cancelled between 6 and 4 weeks before the arrival date, 50% of the booking price will be refunded.
  • Cancellation of the booking later than 4 weeks before arrival date does not incur any refund (request to use private cancellation insurance).
  • The tenant must arrange travel insurance and / or cancellation insurance that covers any costs due to illness or other circumstances preventing the tenant from using booked accommodation and / or additional services.
  • In the event of cancellation of the stay, the cancellation itself must be notified to BCV, while any claim for financial compensation must be addressed to the insurance company.
  • BCV will assist in changing the dates of your stay if possible.

Tenant's responsibility

  • NB1! - Terrace traffic
    • The 'eider houses' are placed on terrace decks with single railings.
    • Some cabins are located quite high above the ground and the tenant must exercise caution when traveling on the terraces. Children need to be looked after!
    • Avoid underage children in cabin number 5, 15 and 16!
  • NB2! - On each 'Eider House' there is a large hatch that can be opened and closed.
    • This must be closed when you leave the cabin!
    • It must not be opened in strong winds!
    • One should be 2 people at the closing of the hatch!
    • Take care to avoid pinch injuries!
  • NB3! – The dogs must be kept in cages inside the 'Eider Houses' and should not be up in the beds!
  • The tenant must treat the accommodation properly and everything must be in the same condition as on departure.
  • The tenant is obliged to compensate for any damage caused to the accommodation, including inventory and property otherwise.
  • The tenant has a corresponding responsibility for such damages caused by persons who participate in the rent or who the tenant otherwise gives access to the cabin area.
